    (she/her)

I work with individuals, couples and families experiencing various life circumstances including depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss and trauma. Life can be messy…and full of uncomfortable feelings. It’s our ability to cope with these feelings that enables us to get through the night, wake up the next morning and keep moving forward. I believe that learning from what we have experienced is what makes change possible. Whatever your circumstances, I will meet you there.

    (she/her)

My approach weaves together a spiritual, contemplative foundation with traditional therapeutic methodology. After over 35 years of clinical practice, teaching, consultation and supervision, I have come to believe in therapy as the process of a person's unfolding the innate wisdom they hold within them as the key to their healing. I see my role in the therapeutic process as a combination of guide and collaborator in their journey towards well-being.

    Donna James, PhD

    (she/her)

In my practice, I see individuals and couples age 18 and older. The therapy focuses on strengthening the client’s capacities for healthy relationships with self and others, and for engagement with work and play through life phases. This attention to individual development throughout life is true for my work with individuals and couples. With couples, I help guide each person toward maximizing her/his own best self within the context of the relationship, working toward increased intimacy.

I see psychotherapy as a process of collaboration between client(s) and therapist in the context of an emotionally trusting relationship. Many of us at some time in our lives can experience feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, and at a loss to find our way forward. In the process of my helping clients work towards individual goals and satisfying relationships, I help them to draw on their strengths and explore what may be undermining their best intentions.
